Why should I learn my skin type anyway?
If your skin is dry, you need products a lot more nourishing than if you have oily skin. So if you have dry skin and are using products of oily skin, your skin may be plagued by dry patches, show more visible lines, and never feel hydrated enough.
If you have oily skin and are using products for normal or mature skin, well, you're probably breaking out and looking shinier than you'd like!
Once you get clear on your skin type, you can pamper your face with what it needs to look healthy and glow from within -- so you can show off your natural beauty (makeup optional!).
When you take the quiz, you'll find whether you fall into one of these four skin types:
- Normal skin – This skin type is not too oily and not too dry, usually just right. So the focus here is keeping it radiant through the seasons and through time.
- Dry skin – Your skin will have almost invisible pores, a dull complexion, and it will feel less elastic. This can make your skin more susceptible to wrinkles at a younger age, plus roughness. The focus is to get the dead skin cells off so you can hydrate and nourish.
- Oily skin – The opposite of dry skin: pores look enlarged and you have shiny skin complexion, plus you're more prone to fastidious breakouts.
- Mature skin – This skin type just needs some extra love. Oil production tends to be lower and your focus may be diminishing wrinkles from fine lines to deep ones.
