As a result of the pandemic, many of us are washing our hands a lot more than we’re used to. Wearing a mask and washing your hands are essential during the pandemic, but it may result in dryer skin. Here are some powerful skin care tips for during the pandemic.

Take Care of Your Hands

When you wash your hands, be sure to use lukewarm or cool water along with the soap. Using hot water is not more beneficial for fighting germs, so it’s not necessary. Hot water can also cause skin damage over time.

Avoid Antibacterial Cleansers

Many people have taken to antibacterial cleansers since the pandemic, but it is not capable of preventing infectious diseases. Unfortunately, antibacterial cleansers are also often made with fragrance chemicals, and this can really irritate your skin. Try going for a gentle facial cleanser such as the Callyssee Better Bean Clean Face Coffee Cleanser or the Macchiato Foaming Cleansing Scrubber which includes a soft silicone brush to help gentle scrub away even the toughest of mascaras.

Wear Gloves when Cleaning

It’s not a bad idea to sanitize your surfaces more often than before. However, consider the products that you use for cleaning. Some of them are probably filled with chemicals that are harmful for your skin. Consider wearing gloves when you’re cleaning to protect your skin from harsh ingredients.

Moisturize

Moisturizing never goes out of style. Right after you wash your hands, rinse them and then dry them. Immediately afterwards, it’s time to apply some moisturizer. Always keep a moisturizer easily accessible near the kitchen or bathroom go for something creamy but quick drying such as the Callyssee Cloud Soft Bod

Prevention

Don’t wait for your skin to get dry and chapped before you begin applying moisturizer. You can prevent skin irritation from developing in the first place if you keep a consistent routine. Once your skin becomes wrinkled and cracked, it is more difficult to get it back to normal. Prevention helps us avoid such complications.

Facial Care

Many employees are wearing a mask throughout their shifts. Whether they work in medical care, retail stores, or restaurants, masks are required. Unfortunately, this can sometimes lead to chafing, itchiness, and even a rash. Damp conditions under the mask can promote acne breakouts. Take extra care of your face during your time off with night time lotions and try to maintain an enriching diet. Another thing you can do is to develop a skincare routine and practice it consistently.

Enhance Your Skincare Routine

If you don’t already have one, a skincare routine can be a life changer. If you already have a skincare routine, enhancing it can be a game changer. Moisturize your face both before and after your mask wearing shift. If your skin is more on the oily side, try using a water-soluble moisturizer. For an extra edge, try Rich and Creamy Moisturizing Night Cream which includes Hyaluronic Acid and apply before bed to allow your skin to full soak all the wonderful moisturizing agents.
